Default A proper introduction for a handsome young sir

I decided on the name Haribo - possibly shortened to bo

He is 5 months old and is from the p@h adoption centre , he is actually not as timid as I thought he would be and was on my hand in the pet store . He was "too old to sell" bless him

Great to hear another Chinese has been adopted from PAH. It seems they get handed back almost too often poor wee chins. This little guy has well and truly landed on his paws!

Hes so cute His fun bags are huge haha , im immature and find these things amusing ... same with my guinea pigs whose wobble as they walk ...

moving on hes a little darling, hes scared and unsure but he is using his whole cage I left food on all shelves and all over the place and its all gone and he has tipped his sand bath out (the glass jar on the top shelf) and he has burrowed down into the corner.

I caught him out last night on his saucer , but when I turned the light on in the room he froze and just stood there still , so ill put a little lampin the room so its not as bright , he did take a pedigree markie off me (not a regular thing but while hes getting used to me he will be spoilt ) so I dont think itll be long before hes fine with me

I love the name Haribo too , he went through being called several names before this one stuck

racinghamster:- are chins not that popular?

I think it`s because people buy one and either don`t like the fact that the male chinese has the `baggage` at the back, or they realise they are not like the russian dwarf hamster or the syrian, but it could also be nievity on the buyers part thinking the Chinese is...well, lets just say they are more mouse-like than a typical hamster! This is what appeals to me because I`ve been a mousie keeper for many years up until recently and I like the sweet and intelligent nature of the chinese. I have a female at the moment and adore her. I always want to have at least one chinese now because the species has stolen my heart, as I`m sure others who have kept a chinese feel aswell. They are just lovely little creatures and although classed as a hamster, are more like little possums crossed with a lemming! ....and maybe a mouse`s intelligence!

Hello Haribo. It looks as if you're going to be one spoilt little boy.
