i rarely gve hamsters the same wooden toys its safer, really. but sometimes i'm really sstraped for ccash and needd toys lol so yeah.

When I got my 2nd pair of gerbils, I just disinfected the wooden toys and left them to dry for a couple of days so my new guys could use them.

You can get special pet safe disinfectant, not sure if soap is safe for them?

Or if you have some in your house you can just use some garden wire or some string. Nothing fancy works fine for me
