Question Pets @ Home Adobe Hamster Cage

Ok, so I said I'd review this cage and never got round to doing it.

So here goes:

I like:
  • size
  • plastic (easy to clean)
  • colours
  • easy to take top and parts off to clean the cage

I don't like:
  • you can't really give it a "makeover", all the parts are made to fit in one particular place and order.
  • the top bit that comes off (has bars) is just too small. It's big enough to fit your hand through, but you can't really hang anything from the ceiling. It's also not high enough if you ask me, but that could just be me..

The yellow iglo and food bar were not included, obviously.

I'm thinking of getting more hammies, but in all honesty, I wouldn't go for this cage again, because of its limited customiseability. (is that even a word? haha)

i think that cage comes in two different sizes....is that the small size or the bigger one??

all in all i like the idea and the design...but if you say that you cant really change much around in the cage then its not really a good cage. thats a shame...

thanks for reviewing that cage coz i was actually quite interested in it

Hey Annie

This is the larger one, and it's a good size, but yeah all the parts can be taken out, but have to be put back in the same way.

Yeah I know, I've already started thinking of ways to make it more interesting. I've removed the ladder from ground-level to first-level, and instead put a tunnel-log underneath it, so he has to climb that to get to the first level.. but other than that there's not much I can do to make it interesting..

This is an awful cage...I bought it for my syrian and he kept pushing the top off as it was too small! I had to put shoes on it to keep it on and took it back the next day for a refund!!

Anyone know if the bigger one would be suitable for a Chinese?

I have seen the smaller version and thought it looked terrible too!
