Re: Do any of you have experience with this Pawhut cage?
I don't have experience with this cage but honestly it's really not the best cage for a hamster.
firstly, wooden cages are really not practical for hamsters, even with deep bedding it can get wet, stay wet, and eventually get moldy or even attract maggots.
hamsters also love chewing wood and it would be very possible for a hamster to chew its way out.
secondly there is no space for a proper sized wheel in this cage.
there is also no good place for a hamster to burrow.
I would recommend a bin cage which is no doubt cheaper than this one and much more efficient. You can look on this forum and online for the best and most cost effective way to set one up.
good luck!
