Thumbs up Niteangel Vista Review

I posted a video review here:
Niteangel Vista Cage Review

I purchased mine from Amazon: Niteangel Vista Hamster Cage W/ Oblique Opening

SIZES
Small - 32.9 x 17.2 x 21.1 inches
Medium - 40.7 x 22.7 x 22.9 inches
Large - 47.1 x 22.7 x 26.9 inches

I purchased the medium size for my hybrid dwarf hamster, Niko.

ASSEMBLY
The only snag I hit during assembly was that I did not pay close enough attention to the directions - the bottom and back pieces must be oriented a certain way so that the other pieces will fit them once assembled. I had no issues putting it together. There was some mild difficulty placing the silicone rings onto the pegs, but none of them broke. If you have arthritis or other fine motor issues you may want to get someone to help you with this part. I was able to put it together myself with only slightly sore fingers. Overall it feels sturdy. I placed a throw blanket underneath it so I can slide it around on the floor if need be.

Use the paper tape that is included to seal the seams on the inside, to prevent dust/bedding/etc. from coming through the seams. You could caulk these seams with silicone, but that would prevent it from being disassembled in the future.

I placed a waterproof terrarium backdrop on the inside of the Vista for a bit of customization. I also purchased that on Amazon.

DECORATION
The medium size cage has room for the necessities of a dwarf (and possibly some male Syrians, at 880 square inches or 2235 square centimeters): wheel, chambered hide, sand bath, hides, burrows, deep bedding, water dish/bottle, etc. I used a 60L bale of paper bedding to fill it.

THOUGHTS
This is the best non-DIY cage on the US market. I very much enjoy the look of it as well as the space it provides my hamster. The space I had for a cage in my office was only going to fit the medium, otherwise I probably would have gotten the large. I would absolutely recommend it over a bin or tank, as the dimensions of the cage are specifically for a hamster, it is lighter than a glass tank of similar size, less fragile than glass, and no modifications are needed to make it suitable. My favorite aspect is the oblique opening that lets in a little more light than the previous Bigger World model, and it also allows for some storage on the top area.

Yes good review thank you. I don't quite understand the oblique lid. It looks like a top opening lid on hinges. Are you saying only part of the top opens?

Yes, the portion of the lid that opens is on a slight angle. This allows you to come into the cage in a way that is less threatening than directly above, while also not imposing a bedding height limit like a front opening door might.
