Default Duna maxi cage

Hallo Guys,

Today I received my Duna maxi cage. (99×51x36 cm)
Its plain but there is alot of space available. I love it! I got my hamster last week and I ordered the Duna Mini. After one day I couldn't stand it anymore because it was too small. That's when I bought this one.

I can say I am very enthusiastic about it because she has a lot of space to put her energy in.

I have attached some photos. Please note: I am aware I should put more ground cover, but the stores were closed at the time I received the cage. First thing I'll do in the morning is pick some up so she can start digging

What kind of hamster do you have? I have that cage for my female Syrian hamster and after 1 month I'm getting a new one from Rabbit Enrichment Hides | Manor Pet Housing because she won't stop monkey barring and biting the bars. I think this may be a good cage for smaller hamsters.

It looks great to me . Assume it is a dwarf hamster due to the small wheel. The only thing I would add is a good sized house for nesting that is open underneath to the substrate. You might already have one but I can just see the little plastic house.

This labyrinth house works well for dwarf hamsters. Or you could just make a house out of a shoebox or tissue box.

wonderful cage. is that fluffy cotton bedding (yellow puff)? If so...it should be removed imediately because its very dangerous is ingested.

Not all hamsters can resist chewing fabric items so it is best to give them during supervised play times only.
