My sister recieved this cage for one of her hamsters today, she really likes it although it has not got much toys that come with it, but it is a good amount of space (about the same as hamster heaven) and has a shelf too.

The gaps in the bars are definatley to big for a robo, I recommend a mouse cage?

Peggy my robos cage bars are about 1 cm? maybe it just depends on the structure of the bars. Perhaps the ferplast criceti 15 has quite flexible bars?

Smiley, for some reason the cage description said it's a "hamster and mouse cage"

Robo cages need to be less than 7mm otherwise they can squeeze through and escape... and being so tiny it'd not be very likely that you'd be able to find and catch them. Plus with 1cm bars there's a possibility of them sticking their heads through and wringing their necks ... I saw a mouse do this in a pet shop once and I was utterly horrified. The girl in the pet shop said "One did it this morning too, they don't learn" ... !!!!

I ordered a Ferplast KIOS anyhow... it's a bit smaller than the other but it's the biggest suitable one I've been able to find... and has scope for extension at a later date

hmm well to be honest i think you have made the safest and best choice for your hammy, I would not trust a robo or a mouse in this cage , but for what it is worth I will measure the bar spacing

LOL my measuring skills must be terrible! Peggy can defintely not stick her head through, she can only just fit her lil nose through. Some pet shops are just shocking, luckily the ones near me are quite nice I'd only put syrians in a criceti 15 then.

I did actually ask them what the bar spacing was for the Cricetic and they told me 5mm, so I ordered it a couple of weeks ago - it came n it was obviously far too wide a bar spacing. So I emailed them about it n asked for the KIOS instead n for them to take it back... It came today n it's a nice little cage - nicer than it looks in the pics online. I'm quite pleased with it. It's slightly smaller that the Criceti but not by much n I'm going to get an extra burrowing tank to add in a few weeks. Still disappointed that I couldn't have the Criceti - I'd been lusting after it for months and sold my upgrade phone to buy it lol.

I'll write a review for the KIOS n post pics in a couple of days

I got this cage a couple of weeks ago, the bars are quite flexible indeed. However for my syrian it's got the thumbs up so far, it's a few centimeters smaller than the hamster heaven but I can't tell when they are next to each other.

I like it because it's a pretty good price if you get it from equine canine feline and use the 10% off code, and because it comes with tube stopper things, so that you can add tubes/extra cage etc if you want to. And because the opening is the entire roof, access is really good, especially if you're taming a hamster I would imagine.

The only bad thing I can tell so far is that when putting it together I found it a bit difficult with the corner pieces, and ehm... ended up breaking two of them because I decided to use a hammer Oh and the fact you can't really hang things from the roof.
