Just thought I would add these are in stock at Tesco Direct just now, and they have them reduced and with double clubcard points. http://direct.tesco.com/search/default. ... onfirm.y=0

Its £33.75 for the Imac and £13.49 for the extension. They also have a space station that attaches. Does anyone have this..?

Hi Haziebabie, just wondering if you've ordered some of the those space station things to go with your Imac's?

I was looking at them from your link and not really sure where it's meant to go? So just wondered if you'd ordered any you could let us know if they were any good and where they fit to the cage?

If not I might get 2 for mine!!

No I didn't get any..wish I had though didn't want to push it with my dear hubby!!! I'm not sure but I reckon they will plug into one of the roof caps. I would go back but then I would have to pay delivery again as they can't take it to a Tesco near me. You will have to let me know if they are any good if you go for it!

i have two imacs and i think they might fit into the swap top on the attic floor??????????? as they are not for the top of the cage ones. im thinking upside down or something or else its just to put in loose downstairs, seems a bit pointless?

They don't fit anywhere and aren't even made by Imac so I think Tesco has it badly wrong. I have two of these from elsewhere in other cages.

Just to add to this review that I keep a Robo' hamster in a two-tier version with no problems at all. When she first arrived as a baby no doubt she would have got through the bars but now she's fully grown she loves it. She can even get up and down the tubes with no problems though I would think that a lot of Robo's would struggle with them - Tiny just zooms up and down them like they're not there!

I popped her in it in the bath to start with to check she couldn't get through the bars first to be safe though.

Hello,

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and as yet havent used it as i cant make my mind up about it. Smartie needs a larger cage but i think its the colours that put me off. Anyway, i let him have a run around in it last night and he seemed to love it! So, i am thinking of keeping it and using it. I was worried he may be a bar chewer, at present i have him in a Duna so no bars to chew! I didnt want to put him in the Imac to find he chews bars and i then cant take it back.

Anyway, i just wondered, in the attic floor there is a "plug" in the middle of it, does anyone know what this is for? as in, obviously it comes out, but would leave a gaping hole, so wondered if you can buy anything that is meant to go in there?

Many thanks

Kirsty

My turn to do a review! I LOVE this cage I bought it for Misty (18 month old adopted ham who came to me in a cage she could barely move in). However by the time it arrived, I had discovered Misty's hate for tubes, she won't use them at all. So I decided to move William out of his Cambridge, and move him into the IMAC, so Misty could move into the Cambridge. All is well.

I found it a bit fiddly to put together when it first came. There seemed to be no instructions and we had to put it together through pictures on the box and on the internet (thanks to those who have pics on here!). Also, it seemed a little wobbly when carrying it. I have found it OK, but would be very wary if I had any more extentions on the top. The size of the cage is totally deceptive. The photos online makes it look small, its actually huge when you have it in person.

William will only sleep in a cardboard box, so his bed is on the ground floor next to his wheel, fiddlestix, and potty. Second floor is a see-saw, dinner bowl, water bottle, a tube, and a dangle treat stick. Third floor is some puzzle playground another tube, and where the bed is supposed to be is where I put his treats/veggies.

It have found it reasonably easy to clean, maybe I'm lucky he's such a clean and tidy little man. One thing though, the ridges on the floors do bug me a little, because I find most of the toys don't sit flat, however he doesn't seem to care.

Oh, and like the above person, I am curious, what are the holes in the floors in the levels? I assume you can buy toys or something to put in? And I've never had any problem with him opening the circle doors at the top either, maybe he just hasn't tried.

Of course the wheel is comes with needs replacing, he's currently got a silent spinner again (he still fits) after his jumbo rolly fell on top of him after a few mins running! He's got a wodent wheel coming soon. Anyway, pics from various stages in the cage. Some of the toys have most likely changed around.

I wouldn't recommend this as a first cage. If you have a baby hamster who is timid, this cage would not be ideal, its a bit closed in and there's lots of tubes to hide in and not come out. I'm happy William was already tame before he went in this otherwise I think he would be nervous.

This looks like a great cage but i'm not a fan of the colours. I think if I could ever find one cheap enough i'd buy Chomp one.

After reading all of the reviews I am deffo going to be on the look out for one of these cages.

We have had Morrissey for 4 months now and the starter cage we got from P@H already seems way to small. I am sure he would be much happier in something bigger! I like that you can extend this one if you need too. We currently have a silent spinner wheel but I am going to also look out for a wodent wheel - mainly as they look like vinyls!!

* I have found one on Animal Source: http://www.animalsource.co.uk/hamster-c ... -618-p.asp
£30 plus £7 p+p. Does anyone know this site? and does this seem a reasonable price? I searched Amazon, Ebay etc and this was the cheapest I could find. Thanks in advance for your help!
