I actually replaced the aquarium lid with a higher-end model that sits on top of the tank, weighted with a rock.
I also added a loft, effectively rebuilding Neo's cage, to include many chinese hammy-friendly getaways!

The lift-off lid should make a big difference solange. Sliding lids can be very noisy and not ideal for naturally shy creatures like chinese hamsters. Looking good.
