yes, I will do - I've been keeping an eye on it and it's fine so far...

I bought this as an emergency cage when Poppy hurt her leg about three years ago, since then it has been used in so many situations and has been really sturdy! For 'holiday' visits, as a cage to show Pets in, in emergencies when my hams have been poorly and when we've had baby Syrians to settle in and when out of use is brilliant for storing all our hammie odds and ends in. The only thing it has to show for all this wear and tear is a small crack in the lid which has been there for at least a year but has not grown or affected it's use.

We've found it brilliant for hamsters with issues over open spaces or large spaces and they've thrived in there in building up confidence.

I like the way the water bottle fits as it saves all the fiddling I used to have to do with my Gabber Lux and the water bottle, though always check it's upright as a few times I've put it in quickly at a tilt and our ham couldn't get any water.

The only issue we've had with it is it's height as we couldn't fit a Comfort Wheel in there, but a Wodent Wheel seems to just squeeze in!

I've brought one of these for Dudley my new Chinese hamster, seems good value, have removed the wheel as he was not big/strong enough to use it - was looking to get a silent spinner 6.5 wheel but does it attatch ok?

Would it go where the original wheel was?

Dont want to buy one to find it wont fit in!

Thanks.

Hi Alison, nice to see you here. I think it would fit ok on it's stand.

We love this cage for a single dwarf.
We take the wheel out and replace with the silent spinner on it's stand. We tape the stand down to the base to stop it jumping around and it can be located anywhere you like really. Our hammies nested under the shelf bit in a bundle of nesting material so we never had a nest box.

Yes it is good value, mine was £23 I think - impressed with quality and what you get for the price - Dudley seems well happy too!

Dudley has made his nest under the 2nd level hidden away - looks a really nice nest - I will leave it alone - until his full clean, when he is out of the cage!

I will get a wheel and tape it down good idea that.

Hello to Helen
