Default Sonny's 10 gallon is way to small :/ Need cage alternatives!

As some of you may know, about a week or so ago I adopted another Syrian from the same rescue I got Jojo. He's a sweet 3 month old Syrian, and I'm told he is sable colored. When I first got him, I purchased a 10 gallon tank. When I got Jojo I was sure to get a 20 gallon long. Silly me thought that since he was slightly smaller, and because he was used to a 10 gallon, the cage would magically become bigger. Nope, it's still puny! I can't fit anything in there for him, where it's the total opposite with Jojo. I looked into buying a cage topper, but it's too expensive for such a small, barely noticeable addition. I really would prefer not getting another 20 gallon long as they are expensive, and heavy. I thought about getting a WARE natural cage, because they seem to be the only commercial cages worth buying, but I love how the aquarium holds in the bedding. I have thought about making a bin cage, and honestly leaning towards it at this point.

- If you have any other affordable cage options please share ( available in the US)

- If you have links where they show you how to make bin cages, or picture/videos of bin cages, that would be great.

Thanks for everything guys!

i think its really difficult to get good cages for a reasonable price in the US... i think your best bet would be a bin cage you can get really big ones and they're easy to mesh and cheap also easy to clean out etc, and also easy to expand if you want ^_^

Sterilite 26-1/2-Gallon Latch Box (Plastic Bin Cage)

Have you checked out that thread ^^^
It's a large bin available in the US, and the pics of the set up are great.
I think a bin cage would be the best and cheapest option.

do you have an IKEA near by? then you can buy the biggest samla box there IKEA | Storage boxes & baskets | Secondary storage boxes | SAMLA | Box (34 gallon)
Or If you want to have something bigger you can also buy a Detolf glass-door cabinet there IKEA | Dining storage | Display cabinets | DETOLF | Glass-door cabinet If you need some ideas how to use the detolf as a hamster cage, check out this page Naturnahe Hamstergehege: Detolf there you can find a lot of detolf examples and everything is also translated into english.
