Smile few questions about hamster genetics

just wanted to start this by saying im not a breeder of any animals im just someone who loves learning about the genetics side of things (i still know nothing about hamster genetics because i havent found a good place to learn about it)

1. how can you tell if a hamster has good genetics?
like good enough that they are able to breed to pass said genetics down? i know we can assume all pet shop hamsters have messed up genetics from being mass produced but in the case of ethical breeders how can they tell the hamster they are breeding wont have health conditions down the road as it ages? or how can they tell its going to live longer if thats what they are breeding for?

2. where do ethical breeders get their hamsters from?
like you can answer "from other ethical breeders" but where did it all start and how did they know they were breeding hamsters with good genetics?

this one is more about coat colors/patterns so any links to stuff that goes into detail about it would be great too...

3. how can you tell what type of color/patterns the hamster pups will be?
like dominant colors and stuff? and also patterns, is there any website that goes into detail about hamster coat patterns/colors? and what crossing them could create? because ive heard mixing certain colors can produce eyeless pups (from what i remember they were white so im not sure what genes or whatever caused this though i could be wrong about them) and there was another one that when 2 certain types of hamsters are bred it produces pups that look like they are wet? like over oily maybe? again im not too sure about all of it im still really new to hamster genetics i just love learning about it
