Colour Combinations.
Hello, I was just wondering the colour combinations of a litter if the dam was a black tortishell and dad a satin dark grey with dominant spot. Thanks in advance - just curious!!

Re: Colour Combinations.
It very much depends on any shared recessives. Black is recessive and so is dark grey so unless they share these then you wont get those colours. You could get other colours if they both carry a recessive like cream or cinnamon. The lost likely outcome is golden pups with half dominant spots and also yellow males and golden tort females with or without the dominant spot.

Thankyou. I had a suspicion dad was actually silver grey despite being down on his pedigree and sold to me as dark grey. But what I've seen of the pups (literally only saw them briefly for a few seconds as they're not quite 2 weeks yet) most of them look grey. So I guess he is probably silver grey as that is dominant. Mum has silver grey in her pedigree and dad has black too.

Re: Colour Combinations.
Silver grey is much more common and with the satin it darkens it however it should be showing on a pedigree if it's there.
