well they haven't really started eating on their own but when mum drops little pieces around the cage they will get out off their nest and get it. They are getting really big but they're just starting to walk and they haven't fully opened their eyes yet.....

They will be eating now. Sprinkle some finely chopped nuts, oatmeal, tiny bits of chicken or tofu near the nest and give them a nice porridge either baby food or oat porridge in a shallow dish like a jar lid. Look at the breeding section in the website for other ideas. They will need some green food finely chopped too but just a little at first.

the babies are doing good but this weekend I have to separate them but the babies are really small and I don't know what will happen if I put the males in with daddy...

They should hopefully be okay. Maybe take dad out and put him in his ball for twenty minutes while the male babies settle in. Make sure they go in his bed and rub them in the bedding if need be.

Are they not syrian babies? If so you should never put them in with an adult male as he will kill them. Single sex group only and put them in a tub if you are desparate. Forgive me if they are not syrians but I thought you said they were.

That's a relief..thought they were Syrians! It can be hard to introduce the new baby males to an adult even if he is the dad, and particularly after he has not been in on the raising of the litter. Even experts sometimes struggle to match them up and if they are not females the male may not accept them. I would be very, very careful if he is trying to bite them. Try babyboos suggestion but if he attacks them it is probably best to keep them separately.

There may some slight scuffling to begin with you need to keep a very close eye on them and be ready to grab dad quickly should things get too aggressive - don't worry about being bitten, better that than lose or injure a baby.
