Ithuviel, all I can say is a huge and very heart-felt "well done!".
You are caring for these little creatures that have been placed in a tough situation through no fault of their own and it is not an easy task so please just know that I have immense respect for what you are doing.

Such nice words thank you. Sorry for replying late but i have updates. So everything is going fine so far. Pups have started walking around 3 days ago but they still have their eyes closed. The mother made a total of 3 burrows and the pups keep moving around. I've already ordered wheels for when i need to separate them.
When you said that if there is one female i can leave her with the mother, does that apply to leaving her at the same time with the second litter (if there is one)?
On the subject of water. I've put today a very shallow and small water dish for the pups because they keep munching on vegetables. Right now the seed mix is in a bowl where pups can get it, should i put it somewhere where they can reach it? is it too soon to give alternative food from mothers milk?
Here are some pictures and i can confirm that there are 4 pups. I'm so happy that they are all ok and that they survived all the changes.

Re: 2 litters at the same time (help with info pls)
Lovely to hear! Just a pointer - I believe there is a forum rule not to post photos of baby hamsters before their eyes are open. Although they do seem to be nearly open I love that the Mum is helping to nudge the baby to the broccoli. I don't have answers about the water questions or female babies unfortunately but someone else might.
Isn't she a lovely clever Mum and well done to you too. I would still be careful not to disturb them until their eyes are fully open.

Re: 2 litters at the same time (help with info pls)
I'm sorry i didn't know about the rule, but their eyes are fully opened now and today i did a cage clean. From what i could tell i defenetly have 1 male pup i'm not sure about the others. I just hope i don't missgender them. Thank you a for your answers. I was wondering, when will it be ok to introduce pups to the wheel? Bellow ypu have the upgraded cage after the cleaning.

They are lovely. Their eyes are open. When they first open they tend to walk around with squinty eyes for a bit before fully opening them.Mum has done a great job

She is such a great little Mum and all four pups doing fine . Fingers crossed there isn’t another pregnancy. It could be difficult to sex them just yet but when they’ve grown a bit it should be easier.

Sorry I meant to answer that - yes if you had say 2 males and one lone female pup then better to leave her in with mum. The older sister will help care for the newborns.
It is sometimes possible to introduce the males to live with dad but if you have a pair then they can stay together anyway and be homed either alone or as a pair as long as the new owner is happy to watch and separate if need be. More than one female then just take them out as well.

thank you for clearing that out souffle. I wanted to write more reply but hamster supplies came in.
Is it ok if i post some more pictures? I don't want to encourage people to breed.
