I am not a fan of Yellow either, in fact most Agouti colours although there is something about the Silver Grey which draws me - temperment has a lot to do with it - they really seem a gentle strain, and in fact colour and temperment have been linked in other species so I am sure hamsters will be no different. I know you are a member of Hamsters In Focus where I have been lurking and very occassionally posting for a few years now, some of the guys there have been researching this phenomenon. Shame you couldn't get to Birmingham as I have a lovely Melanistic Yellow male ready to go, or in future a Dove Tort female who I was going to let have one more litter before retiring, she got commended on being the largest hamster at the Sheffield show I had 13 babies in each of the first two litters from her so hoping for similiar, and I will definitely be keeping a few

i will be doing a vague tour of the country over chirstmas time, to bristol and to newcastle and a bit in bucks, if anyone will get nearer to these places and wants one of the babies i will bring em along :P

There will be more than one person there from Manchester I am sure - ask the Northern Hamster Club Chairman or Secretary if they can get you in touch with someone.
