Default Dark Grey Hues?

Hey all!

I have a question regarding greys, specifically Dark Grey.
This is a new area of study for me, as until now I've only played with easy colours (Cinnamon, Black, Cream and their combos, as well as some Yellow).
I cannot find any in-depth info online so I thought I'd ask advice from you wonderful people. I had heard that the quality of a DG can be effected by other carried genes; does Cream or Yellow have a big impact on the hue of the topcoat? Or perhaps Cinnamon?

I'm still a novice breeder and this area is new to me!

Not breeding DG but do know
DG+Cinnamon = Lilac which is far different then Dg coloring.
DG + Cream is Ivory which again looks nothing like the Dg parent.
DG + Yellow is Pearl which is not the same coloring but is still a greyish hue to the coat.
DG + Rust is Beige which has a rust shading in the grey coloring
Blonde,Beige, and Pearl are still agouti colors where as Ivory is self.

Hope this helps a little.

Thanks Nancy I'll have to swat myself up on these.
I had a chat with a friend of mine who used to be a breeder and shower and specialised in Greys, so that was educational.

If they carry Cinni or cream they will have a brown tinge also. Like heterozygous Silver greys. Dark greys are commonly bred to goldens, which I don't think affects their colouring.
