Hoping for a Willow Tree Baby Boom
I was going to do a thread for my most recent pairing but realised I'd be making a couple more threads soon so I'm going to do updates and pupdates here
My very first litter that I had back in March are now all grown up so Tilia (my BEW Chinese) was paired with my Dom Spot boy Arlo last week (25th) and they definitely made sure I knew they were working on mini hams >.< unfortunately Tilia decided to turn on Arlo a few days later (the day of her next heat) so I'm hoping she's caught. It's crazy to think those tiny pups from a few months ago could now potentially start having their own pups.
Acacia (Tilia's mum) will be paired, with a beautiful chunky boy who is on holiday here from a friend, in a few days time. Her next litter will be her last and then she'll be retired from breeding.
I have a stunning Dom Spot girl from Vectis who will be old enough to pair at the end of the month, she'll possibly be going with the gorgeous boy I got from Lilliput at Great Alne.
I also have the option of pairing Blossom (A normal and Tilia's sister) but I'm not sure who I'd pair who to yet.
But yep, lots going on with the hams so watch this space

Re: Hoping for a Willow Tree Baby Boom
Tilia is looking a little chunkier and gained a few grams, if she caught on the first day and everything goes to plan, she'll be due on Monday
Acacia was paired last night so we'll see how that goes over the next few days too

Re: Hoping for a Willow Tree Baby Boom
Ooo exciting news. How long did it take them to settle down once paired? Having some slight 'boxing' issues here!

Re: Hoping for a Willow Tree Baby Boom
Tilly and Arlo were vocal and scrappy for half an hour-ish in the intro box, no blood but I kept a close eye on them. Next day they moved into a bigger box and settled for 3 days before separating.
Acacia tried putting her first boyfriend in his place but they settled really quickly, this time however, she's being a bit reluctant letting her current boy near her :/
I've done 3 chinesey pairings altogether, all the same method, and they've settled within the first half hour to an hour

Re: Hoping for a Willow Tree Baby Boom
It has been with mine. If you want to give your boys Arlo's tip for dealing with feisty chinesey girl hams, it's to pin them down and put tissue over their head until they go quiet xD It worked on Tilia anyway.
I've never paired Syrians but I know they're just together to mate and I did find myself wishing that yesterday hehe

Re: Hoping for a Willow Tree Baby Boom
Someone has a rather large baby bump. We're having lots of cuddles and spending quality time together before I leave her to it in a couple of days
