The Septellas -- my first litter!
So I might've been sitting on a bit of a secret two weeks ago I put my yellow male, Septimus, to my yellow female, Capella Capella is due in two days (28th June), but I took some pictures of her with her impressive baby bumps today, and decided I'd post some pics on here -- excuse the blurriness though, Capella is a pain to take a picture of because she is always on the move!

My fingers are crossed that it all goes well for her giving birth, and that I will have lots of cute pup pics to share with you in just over a fortnight

It's strange when you didn't know who a member on HC was until you see facebook posts that match HC posts! haha. How exciting, they're both stunning. She is rather large, hope all goes well with the delivery of the pups.

I think we can figure out what color the pups will be, unless there are carried colors in both to make it more interesting.
Congratulations on your 1st litter and I await photos when able. Any of the Sire?

There is a chance Capella carries dark grey as both her parents did (as proven by her smoke pearl brother!) but Septimus' pedigree is full of yellows and yellow dom spots, so not expecting him to carry any interesting colours, or get anything interestingly coloured out of the litter. Both parents do carry longhaired though, so I should get some fluffy ones But my aim is a nice home-bred yellow, I really like yellows
Here are a couple of pics of Septimus

And one of Capella when she is not heavily pregnant!

Thanks Capella seems to be eating for about sixty at the moment, so I am half expecting to be swamped with pups...!

Re: The Septellas -- my first litter!
Septimus is stunning and reminded me how in the USA we have a long way to go for that beautiful dark ticking. My satin Yellow boy seems as dark but I know it is more cause of the satin coat.
Here's to a safe delivery and a wonderful litter for you.

Re: The Septellas -- my first litter!
Well the pups have landed!
Capella gave birth at some point yesterday afternoon, she came out of her nest when I was in the room at about 5pm no longer looking like she had swallowed a tennis ball. I caught a brief glimpse of the pink wrigglers as I was going to bed later in the evening, think there are about ten or eleven wriggly pink noses.
I am going to be so impatient these next two weeks!

Re: The Septellas -- my first litter!
Well I have six fat healthy little pups in the nest as of today! They're two weeks old today so I cleaned out the cage and gave them their first handling session. They are absolutely adorable <3
