What colour is Emily?
Hello Everyone,
RE: please see attached photos of Emily
Would an expert breeder please advise me what colour you think Emily is? It was suggested by Coco61 that she wasn't a "golden" but possibly a "banded cinnamon" or even a "Satin coat". I would value your expert opinions.

Re: What colour is Emily?
She is definitely banded. Does she have red eyes or is it the photos? I can't help too much on colouring though.

Re: What colour is Emily?
It is very hard to say with the photos you offer, but I will say she is one nice and chunky banded hamster. On just and observation of the photos seen I would suspect her eyes are actually a very very deep dark red and that she is either an Umbrous Cinnamon Band ,OR if her under coat is Ivory and not slate grey That she is an Umbrous Honey Banded. IF she truly does have Black Eyes then I would say she is Umbrous Rust Banded. Does she have a Pedigree?

Re: What colour is Emily?
Her eyes do look like a really dark red, she looks Honey to me. Honey has a light cinnamon orange to the roots and an Ivory belly. Cinnamon hamsters have a slate blue/grey at the roots. Her agouti markings aren't so visible which is why I think she's Honey. She's too orange to be yellow and her agouti markings (cheek flashes and ticking) isn't dark enough for yellow, neither are her ears. Honey's don't have ticking either which is why I think she's honey She could be a pale marked cinnamon though. If you check her roots and let us know what colour they are it'd help a lot. She's also banded like everyone has said. I don't think she's umbrous though, she'd be quite a light brown sooty colour if she was.

Re: What colour is Emily?
I would go for a Cinnamon banded myself. She doesn't look satin to me. The band tends to make the cinnie look paler. If you blow on the orange part and look at the roots does the fur look greyish down there?
She's a pretty girl anyway for sure

Hello everyone thank you for all your help.
I have looked at the roots of her orange fur and they are grey.
