Colours?
Hello everyone! I have two questions today.
1) Is there a good thread on the forum where I can learn more about colours?
I couldn't find any threads or websites that did.
2) Am I correct about Percy's colour? I think he is Dove Banded, but I am doubting myself. Picture below.
Thank you X

Re: Colours?
Yes he's Dove banded Lovely boy.
There is this site here which explains a bit about a few colours and has illustrations - Syrian
And also this site explains the colour standards for showing - https://hamsters-uk.org/content/view/78

Re: Colours?
It may be my computer (or my eyes) but she looks like she has some yellow also. If that's the case, she is a dove tort banded.

Re: Colours?
I agree with WinnieTheHam on the color being Dove, BUT unless this is a very young hamster he, is a she. If it is a young pup(8 weeks or so) The two tones would be them changing from Baby fur Gray to adult Dove(brownish orange Gray) ,and could be a He who has not developed in the manly Bits department.

Re: Colours?
She's still a lovely hamster and I'm very happy for you having her. I love how you caught her in full run in the wheel too.

Percy can also be short for Persephone, and Percy and Persephone are both lovely names just as Percy is a lovely hamster!
