Re: ST's Hamstery D-16 Litter
I wonder what draws moms to that spot! Natural instinct makes them want to be close to a water source, maybe?

It's called Lazy LOL. All I have to do is turn the bin around for a day and she'll move them to the opposite corner. This is why I usually put Mama's to be in 20 gallon Long tanks as I can simply move the bottle to the other side of the tank, but with a Bin I drill a sipper hole to hang the bottle outside the bin and can't move it opposite the nest cause there will be a nice hole of which Mamas find fun to chew on and get out of the bin which is not a good thing when there are 2 day old pups in the bin.

Re: ST's Hamstery D-16 Litter
The D-16 pups are very pretty having only 2 solid pups( One Black Male, and one Golden Tort female). The rest are 1 Golden Band Male, 1 Black Banded Dominant Spot, 2 which seem to be Homozygous Polywhite Banded Dominant Spots(1 is black, 1 is Black Tort) and 1 is a Homozygous Polywhite Banded Dominant Spot Golden.
Nansie and I have been having a slight battle over her nest location as I say "No nest under the water bottle" while Nansie says "I WILL have my nest under that water bottle"
So far she has had the upper edge, but today I used a spoon and moved the nest pups and all to the opposite corner and then placed a heavy ceramic bowl upside down under the water bottle sipper where Nansie can still easily get a drink but can't build any nest. Hopefully she gets the hint so her pups don't keep getting wet when she drinks and the water drips on the pups getting them wet and cold.
