Default ST's B15 Litter

While the A15 litter was done to improve my Yellow lines the B15 was to contnue with my secondary goal to combine my ED line with my Yellow line.

This time I used Habib who is a Male from my Davin X Hope litter. Habib is a ED Melanistic Yellow Male who could carry Cream and LH. Habib's mate is Hania who is from a Polywhite Ds Black Male and a Black Ds Polywhite Carrier female not bred by me. Hania has out standing Type and a super amazing Temperament and is of a good size. She was born here when I took over her Dam when her breeder couldn't tend a litter. This litter is to determine if Hania is Polywhite or a very poor patterned Ds, or if her all white belly is from the Wh gene(which I pray it isn't) Because of the possibility of Wh her mate had to be pedigree proven Wh free and be Cream. Well Habib fit the bill very well being whwh and carrying Cream. He also is a result of combning my ED lines and my Yellow lines. He is the most cuddly of all my Yellow males and is of a good size.
Here's Habib: Here's Hania

Hania delivered a slew of pups on February 26.
She has been a good mother but she was not able to care for 11(+/-) pups so some were culled or passed on their own and she took care of the bodies. However now she is down to about 8 pups she has been outstanding with her pups. Though this breeding was not to determine if Hania carried Cinnamon, Habib was from a Dove Tort so I know he carries Cinnamon. All 11 pups had black eyes so Hania doesn't carry cinnamon.

The plan is to keep a Tort female from this litter to use with a pup from the A15 litter to continue to strive for a ED Yellow litter without cream.

Hania is gorgeous too, and so is Habib! I'm excited to see the resulting pups, especially given the Wh(p), Ds, etc. possibilities!

I love hearing about your breedings Nancy Beautiful hams, Habib is so interesting to see, I have very little knowledge of the ED gene - will there be any ED pups from this pairing or will they just carry? Very excited to see the babies!

I *think* they're all carriers unless Hania carries for c(d).

Actually if Hania carried for c(e) or c(d) (which to my knowledge of her background she doesn't) so all pups will be carriers of c(e) and since Habib is heterozygous ED also carriers of c(d).

Actually compared to Gloria's litter the B15 pups are boring LOL Since both parents are a Black color the whole litter is Black with some females being Torts.

Habib is a very unique color. He changes colors with every stage of growing.
At 3 weeks old he looked to be a BEC except if you could see his ears at just 5 days old where they were already Black (Most BEC pups have flesh ears until around 3 weeks old and some times even older)
Here's Habib at 3 weeks old:

And him at 5 weeks old starting to gain the darker nose and ED pigments in his coat:

His coat changes with the seasons and right now he is a darker caramel like shade on his nose and body.

Well Hania is being as good a mom as is possible , but sadly her litter that started at about 11 is now at 11 days old down to 5 big and fat pups. I know there is at least 1 female and 1 male. The female is rather interesting as she has white spots on her body which are smaller then a normal Dominant Spot but way to big to be a Wh pattern. Her belly has several spots all over like a top body of a Dominant Spot. I will see if any eyes have the red glow in them when they open their eyes. The girl also has much darker Yellowblack patches among the white patches. I'm conversing with a large hobby breeder with and outstanding knowledge on genetics on what this pups pattern might be and if the odd pattern is Polywhite on a ED carrier gene chain or what she may be. Two of the males have minimal belly white faults, and 2 have a much larger amount of white but much less then Hania has.

Since Hania could care less about my looking at her pups I will be able to show photos when eyes open so stay tuned.

Nope Hania was playing the snatch and drag back to the nest game this morning when I walked past her bin. She's a 1st time Mom and she didn't kill the pups but did dispose of the bodies after they died. This happens sometimes and since Mother knows best I just let her be and pray for the best out come. Eyes should soon be open then I can find out what each pups gender is and hold them as Hania doesn't have as protective a personality as Gloria does.
