Yes, I know they are solitary. Money isn't an issue for us and either is space.

THEY ARE OPENING THEIR EYES!!! I came home from my parents' business and I checked in the cage and the eyes are open a tiny bit and they are figuring out how to work them! They are wobbling and trying to run as fast as they can around the whole perimeter of the cage! All 7 are trying to run from mama and they are eating her food and taking off! They are the cutest! Oh! Can I post pics now? Their eyes are open and you can see them!

It is always best to wait until you see fully open eyes on all seven( which will most likely be tomorrow I can wait till then but hurry up little ones so Emily can show you off to everyone on HC.

Oh!! The wait is killing me!!! Grr lol but I'm all for the health and well being of the babies and mom!

I was looking at mom and she has a little hunch back and her nose looks a little crusty. Should I be worried? I heard hunch backs can be a sign of sickness.

Yes a hunched back is reason to be concerned as it could mean pain. If she will allow herself to be held inspect her nipples and her wee area to see if you see any kind of wetness with a smell. Don't want to worry you but it could be the first signs of a major problem in her womb, or could mean her milk gland on one nipple is infected. Hopefully it is just a false alarm and all is well. Do keep and eye on her if you find nothing in your inspection.

Mums can get rather run down and prone to problems with a hoard of pups. I'd be prepared in case she is ill and get in baby food / baby rice powder/ small seeds and things that the pups will manage if she is not feeding them so well. They will be able to manage at this age feeding themselves. Try and get mum to stand up so you can see her tummy. They can lose weight with feeding pups so be very generous with the food so there is plenty. They eat SO much at this stage!
If she is keeping away from them and looks unwell then a vet visit may be needed so keep in touch when you have looked at her

She won't let me pick her up, she bit me really hard and drew blood last night. If I post a picture of her, would you guys help and tell me if she has a hunch back? I get paranoid very easily. Is she going to die? I give her about 4-5 tablespoons a day. I give them throughout the day. I'm scared. I don't want her to die! Our vet doesn't see small animals other than putting them to sleep and bigger ones like bunnies, guinea pigs, hedgehogs and ferrets. What do I do?!

post a pic if you like and we can see how she looks. She may just be thinner with having the pups. Are you feeding extras like babyfood, chopped veg, chciken etc to build them up? Try and keep calm as it is likely she is just protecting her babies and looking a bit thin so maybe best leave her in peace for a bit and take any pics without flash from a distance
