Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
A skinnier Pekoe made her appearance last night. She's been tucked in the nest since. Good job for Pekoe

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
Oh! Congratulations Hekomi! I can't wait to see how many she had. With a growth that big in just 2 days flat, she has to have a nice size litter. Day 11- day 13 was really amazing. A New Year's Eve litter. It has to be forerunner of great things to come. Good job Pekoe.

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
awe congrats. If you don't mind me asking, how much did she weigh before her pregnancy? Lilly still looks tiny, she's about 110 but long too I think.

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
Pekoe weighed 143g before she got pregnant. She was up to 189g yesterday morning. Chai is our littlest (though is unrelated to Lilly and Pekoe) at 133g as of a few days ago.
I think we have a bunch in there, but it's so hard to tell, especially as Pekoe has a nice large nest. I'm of course not prying. We've seen little jellybean movement from the bin, as we sit on the couch. Besides that, no idea! I'm guessing 8-10 maybe, but as it is a winter litter, we may not have quite that many. We'll see soon though... I can barely wait!

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
I'm so excited! I love jelly beans haha
It will be wonderful to watch them grow up and I can't wait to bring one of them home with me. I just need to finish my bookcase cage now ready for the little ones arrival!
Marbles and Maizie will be very excited to welcome a new addition to our little gang

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
Wow they gain weight so fast, she did look huge in that last pic. I believe I now have one of Chai's siblings, a pretty LH dove banded boy and he looks to be plump but I have not weighed him yet since he is very timid.
Can't wait to see pics of the babies!

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
I can't wait for this little one to go home with you, Danni! While the litter will be named after "B" things, maybe we can find an "M" name for your little fluff, since that will fit your theme.
She got huge Erin! I was stunned. Andrew, my partner, kept saying how funny it was that I was worried she may not have taken, when she gained a whole lot even in the first 4 days. Nancy assured me that was normal for her ancestors too. Since we only had Darissa from day 7 (?) on, I didn't see her initial plump up.
Ahhh, yes, I believe you have her brother! I think we considered bringing him up here actually. I believe Chai is still smaller than her brother Felix, but she's getting bigger, slowly. Chai took a wee bit longer to tame, but she's super friendly now.

Re: B14 - The Pekarettos
Kenaz was bought and taken to a local pet store instead of coming back to me but when I saw him I knew he was mine. Seems his owners didn't fair well with him and he got labeled Vicious by the past owner. All at the store were afraid to pick him up so for about 2 months he just sat in the large tank waiting for a home. When he didn't sell and due to lack of any handling became kind of wild I offered to take him from them which they fully agreed upon. Not sure what was done to him but Kenaz is terrified of having his head touched and will roll over and attempt to intimidate you. Once he sees he can't bluff you he is calm but will jump at any sound so is in a home where I know the owner knows how to out smart his bluff act and spring loaded leaps. Felix is 155g and Kenaz was bigger then Felix but not by much. Lily was the runt (if a few less tenths of a gram is runt) of the litter. Pekoe was the pick of the litter followed by her Brother Beinish who is 150g when last weighed about a month ago.
