Re: Shiloh x Darissa
Thank you!
She gave me the saddest little face when everyone else was getting egg. I caved. She has me wrapped around her paw too.
Lookit how cute she isssss.
ETA: The bowl wasn't working under the water bottle, so I used an upside down tupperware dish. Was working great. Then SO and I heard some odd noises, and I went in and she had burrowed UNDER it and was stuck in the tupperware! I put the lid on firmly and put it in sideways... she's exploring it now but crossing fingers it keeps her from nesting under that bottle. Otherwise I think I'll have to move it.

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
LOLOLOL. She was playing the hammy version of the shell game. Add two more tupperware bowls and then you can play...which one is the hammy under!

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
Ahaha, oh jeez. Thankfully all of ours are clear, but I certainly don't want her trying again. I'm sure she could have gotten out... but very nerve wracking!

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
Hahaha she is very cuddly. The robos will be running the show by then. SO gave Spica a pat, but he's still pretty crazy. Apparently we are the hamster "halfway house" now.

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
Day 10. Pouch is filled with oxbow (she went nuts over it, first time I gave it to her) and sunflower seeds, of course.
Weight is now 150g! We're going to aim for a clean out tomorrow so SO can distract and amuse her while I do her bin.

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
Looking good there. Can see a bit of a baby bump in the last picture too. Just wait till a day before due day she'll look like she swallowed a football sideways . Over here is prep/clean out day for Iris who is due Tomorrow and also will be prep/clean out day tomorrow for Hope who is due on my Birthday which is 9-10-14. Starting threads for these two lovely Home bred girls as well.

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
She's certainly been enjoying her time here! Very affectionate, except when I try to fix her stuff (like the bottle) and then she'll give me a warning nip before sinking her teeth in. My own fault, but I have to find a way to better block off the bottle corner from nesting without blocking off the bottle.
So exciting! I hope Iris and Hope do well!

Re: Shiloh x Darissa
We cleaned her cage! Collective efforts between the SO and myself distracted the hormonal Darissa long enough for me to swap over any dirty bedding to clean bedding, leaving nests in tact (for the most part) and larders full and brimming over.
In hind sight, with pink crinklers, we may have a hard time seeing pink babies, but I am not too worried.
She was not a happy lady.
