Shiloh x Darissa

Hehe, Darissa says thank you! Nancy is such a gem for letting us bring her home with us, and for breeding her to Shiloh for us. They'll hopefully ring in the first generation of Strong Brew hammies. I know my SO is hoping for some short hair babies.

She's finally decided to NOT nest under the wheel, and is building up a nest in the corner. Good girl!

She is sooooo friendly and comes to the side of her bin whenever we are in the room for attention.

She's SUCH A CUDDLER.



This is her basically everytime I'm in the room where she's in.

"Cuddles? Cuddles please?"

If her babies are like her they'll be such a pleasure!

I think she must be! She always wants to be the center of attention, and even when she's grumpy with me (ie. moving her water bottle nest!) she only gently nibbles me to tell me she's not impressed.

Such a good girl. So blessed to have her. x

LOL I see Darissa has you all figured out now. Beg for attention, put on the ohhhh so adorable look and pretend you have ignored her allllllll day. I'm so glad she is living up to her normal self. Her 1st litter was all Long Haired and was 7 pups. She was still allowing them to suckle when I removed her at 4 weeks. All the pups from her litter had her super laid back temperament and the sire of her other litter was Jamiel who was a Yellow Band LH.

Shiloh has the same laid back temperament of her and just a FYI Shiloh is LL so all Darissa's pups will be SH carrying LH. You could also get Goldens since Shiloh carries Cream and Darissa doesn't.

Maybe leave that bottle empty so it doesn't wet the nest and add a water bottle elsewhere in the cage.

Me neither!!! I'm so excited. It will be a good learning experience for us, and Darissa has been great so far. I keep trying to see if I can see her belly from the plastic, but it's tricky, and she's not super close to her due date yet.

Yes... She has Andrew wrapped around her paw. She's always up at the side if we're near, and he can't help but indulge her with sunflower seeds, which she happily accepts. Pekoe, on the other hand, has nothing to do with sunflower seeds.

Oooh, all short hairs will be good for Andrew, since that's what he prefers! I thought he was LL but wasn't 100% sure! I'd be curious to see if we get any golden torts, that would be interesting.

Hopefully time will fly and soon there will be pups and eyes open... I can't wait either!

Haha, yes, she was in another corner this morning. I moved her food bowls to see if perhaps the food being closer to the other side might convince her of that place instead. Seems to have worked so far!
