Re: Luna x George
George will be aa baba Ee pp uu. Umbrous is dominant so he must have two non-umbrous genes.
And Luna is Aa pp ee Baba Uu. We can assume she is only carrying one banded gene as she has produced unbanded pups.
I'm attaching a hand drawn punnet square for you
You're going to have an interesting demonstration of how cream and black react together, with cream being dominant over black. So you'll have some minks and creams who are also genetically black!

Re: Luna x George
Oh wow, thanks so much jemmalg!
I had a good idea that is the colours that the pups could be! Just never sure of writing down the genetic codes!
I'm so excited for them! hopefully will have a nice mix of colours in the litter

Re: Luna x George
No I've never heard of an umbrous dove before! So we'll see what pops up in the litter! I would LOVE to keep a dove (mini dad) or dove banded from the litter if there was one! However with 6 hams already and going to uni in 3 months it is a definite no with my mum lol!

Re: Luna x George
Aw, I'm sure you could make some room for a little one somewhere! lol But a would LOVE a dove banded! And I will try to stay on hamster central while I'm away, but Idon't imagine it will be very often, especially as I won't even get to see my own ham babys very often however second year uni is spent all at placement, so for that whole year I will be living at home again x
