Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
She looks lovely! Youre right that she could cull the pups, becausesheis thatbit younger, so all we can do is keep our fingers and paws crossed for you.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
She doesn't look pregnant, but it may be because she only mated a few days ago. I would treat her like she is, but if she doesn't start looking pregnant soon, I would assume she is A) not pregnant or B) only carrying a few babies.
Once I purposefully bred a mouse, and even though she had the perfect conditions, I didn't think she was pregnant. She gained barely no weight at all, and I supplemented a bit, but I was already preparing to breed her again. Then, she had 2 little babies. They were small, but they were there. And they grew up and were fine, but I'm so, so, so glad I didn't put the male back in!
Haha, the moral of my little story is to play it safe and treat her like she's pregnant, because you never know until those days are up
She's gorgeous by the way, she looks like my Colby Jack.

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
We posted at the same time get some baby food as well (no onions and garlic of course) sunflowers seeds sound good too. I'm sure she is loving her millet and mealworms. You have a lovely hammie on your hands, lets just hop we won't have another 10 lovely hammies!! Ahah

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
I was definitely going to get some baby food; any suggestions? Was thinking something with chicken, and some veggie/fruit ones?
Glad to hear she doesn't look pregnant so far... let's hope it stays that way! I do have a spare cage, but not 10!!! Or more!!! If she is pregnant I do hope it's a small litter, and we can sell the pups to good owners. I'll probably keep one of her babies.
We will know for sure on the 9th!

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Chicken and some sort of fruit and veggies sounds good!
I'm off school on the 9th so I'll be waiting patiently (or not so patiently ).
Once you (or should i say IF, we dont know yet) seperate them from their mum, they are reafy to go off to their new homes, so hopefully you won't need 10 cages!! Aha

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
I'm not sure what you have in terms of baby food in canada, but mine enjoy one called Grandpa's Sunday Lunch which is chicken and veggie flavour. Any without onion are great though.
I don't think she looks pregnant from the second round of photos either, bit of course she may not be showing yet.

Yeah, I don't think she looks pregnant either, but it's probably always best to assume that any rescue could be. Either way she is just so adorable!

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
President's Choice makes a nice line of baby foods that are similar to Grandpa's Sunday Lunch! I know for sure that the ones in their organic line for the under 6 months crowd don't contain onion or garlic; I wrote to the company to double check

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Oh if only PC was in the stores near us! We're really close to a bunch of stores, but none of them carry PC. I got a no name brand pure chicken and veg; no garlic or onion in it. She seemed to really like it.
We also weighed her (and her "brothers") and we're keeping a line graph in excel to monitor it. She did not like being put in a box to be weighed (though the boys sat on the scale like little angels!).
I'll keep you guys updated, I'm still sure she's not pregnant, but my SO says she has to be (though fussed as I bought baby food and Greek yoghurt and all the things for her, lol).

Re: Does our lady look pregnant?
Oh drat, I thought PC was available everywhere. Isn't PC linked with No Name somehow though? It's probably the same stuff
