They are one week old and she abandoned them. What can i do to ensure they my babies survive?
PS:it was my fault i cleaned the cage and i think she stressed out.

Re: help abandoned babies
That was very silly really as it is well documented that you should not clean the cage.
Their best chance is to put in lots of food and cover the cage up with a box or blanket in a dark silent room then completely ignore her for 24hrs. With luck she will settle again. If she culls the pups then so be it.
Unless you can dedicate 24hr care to the pups you will not be able to hand rear such young babies and even if you can it is very hard and they normally die off one by one.
Personally I would take my chances with mum and see how it goes.
Cages should never be cleaned till all eyes are open and mother is comfortable with you handling the litter - usually around 17-21 days.

Re: help abandoned babies
I do not know anything about hamster pups, so I'm going to hope someone knowledgeable answers this question:
If it's still available, is it helpful to add some of the old bedding back into the cage - to add a familiar scent?
Any one have any other ideas for the op? Saving the pups is worth a try!
Best of luck to you and the pups.

Re: help abandoned babies
Make sure you keep leaving her very much alone with just food and water. Start putting in low dishes of tiny chopped veg, baby food and porridge and sometimes a little chopped egg, chicken or tofu to help them grow.
Glad she has settled again.
