Default The Stansies (+pics!) 15/08/2013 (Stan and Rosie)

I am happy to announce the safe arrival of 'The Stansies' on the evening of 15th August 2013

Daddy Stan is a long haired cinnamon from my last litter (The Dexpops), and is just so laid back and loves cuddles.

We borrowed Rosie (who actually belongs to my mum) for mummy duties, so she is staying here until the babies are old enough to be separated from her. She is a long haired sable and also has a lovely temparament. Here she is with her baby bumps a few days before she gave birth:

The purpose of this mating was to continue my existing lines, and to hopefully introduce some size (as my hammies have previously been on the smaller side) as Rosie is a lovely chunky girl.

We plan on keeping one or two babies, and the rest have a few homes lined up, but we don't yet know how many there are. Of course if there are any that cannot be found loving homes, will stay here with us.

We expect all the babies to be long haired, with the possibility of sables, minks, creams and cinnamons.

Day 2:
Rosie is being a very good mummy and hardly leaving the nest. I've only been going into the room to give her fresh food and water, and leaving her in peace and quiet the rest of the time. I did get a very brief glimpse of a pile of pinkies in the nest so I know they are there, and I hear little squeaks every now and again. It's very important to leave new mums well alone at this stage - I'm looking forward to when they start toddling out the nest
