Re: Winter White Dwarf Hamster, super runt
I agree cat hair does not sound great either. It would not be digestible if eaten and the smell of a cat in the cage may cause some stress as well as a possible allergy.
He does look very frail but I hope he soon picks up for you x

Re: Winter White Dwarf Hamster, super runt
Thanks guys, took the cat hair out and put ripped up toilet roll in instead.
I don't have any carefresh until Friday so that will have to do
Seems a little stronger today so fingers crossed!
Unreal attached now, take him everywhere with me!

You'll need to change his name to Popeye once he's gotten bigger & stronger

Re: Winter White Dwarf Hamster, super runt
Hi guys, just an update on plop. He is thriving! Had him at the vets yesterday and got eye drops, the vet suggested putting him down but i couldn't. He is running around eating drinking etc and acting like a normal wee hammie He weighs 5 grams, his siblings weigh 15! Fingers crossed still but he seems to be doing very well!

Re: Winter White Dwarf Hamster, super runt
He just used his wheel for the first time !!!! I'm so chuffed he's doing to well! Definatly going to keep him now . Vets are to quick to put things to sleep! Yes it would be cheaper and a hell of alot less work but it's not his fault! He deserves a chance!
Thanks for all the advice, i'll put some pics up later
