Our Gizmo (mink roan) is the soppiest ever and not at all lively. Maybe he's the exception to the rule.
Alvin should be fine to be a daddy. Ooh Louby, first litter planning, how exciting.

Both Alvins parents are pretty laid back now although I do recall his dad Cody being the live wire of the two brothers I kept, Zack always being much dafter. Alvins sister Vermouth is also very lively, I don't know whether Will has found Captain Jack to be the same?
Cupcake has two very soppy parents though!!

my Oscar is lively, but at the same time he's so soppy, too! you can just yank him out of his nest, squash and squueze him and he never nips. he's just excitable and bouncies all over the place! i'm going to breed him. i don't think it's a problem at all.

So she has considered the genetics side of things carefully too haven't you Loubs?

Yes, we have...thanks SM!
The genetics and all other 'normal' concerns have been taken care of...and now, thanks to you lovely lot...so has Alvin.
Your right Mollz...it was just a case of needing a bit of reassurance from you guys.
Thanks everyone!
So...we now have a lucky Sable Roan who gets to have a no commitment, one night stand with a cute blonde! Alvin will be thrilled...he has been chatting her up since she arrived!
One month to go!!!!!! How exciting!!!

Brilliant! You must be counting down the days, I know we were from the second we got Amelie - and she was only 6 weeks old then. The wait is worth it, although I think the wait to see and hold the babies is going to be harder

Aww, I'm glad Alvin is going to get his chance!
I have had 4 roans, Berry was a real live-wire, as is her son Runty but her other son Gizmo is completely laid back like his dad. Our other roan is a BVH girl, Dottie, and she is a very quiet, laid back soul, so 50:50 here.

Hee hee...so is he! We have been telling him about her since we first decided to breed them, so it would have been a shame to change our minds about it now.
I'm also pleased, as I would love to keep a Sable from this litter if there is one. Heres hoping for a nice mix of Sable/Sable Roan/Cream and Cream Roans! Mind you, we will just be happy to have a healthy litter of any colour or type.

As Dottie is Cupcakes Sister, its nice to know that it has followed through the family in that direction too. Awww...bless them all!
