Re: *Help* could my hamster be pregnant?
Just asked my brother, he says he won't remove them as there's a risk the whole tank could shatter, or it would leave small shards behind, which would obviously be too dangerous . Any glue/sealant has also been put right under the two pieces go glass so its impossible to get at. The tank is an old one as well, not made of the newer safer type glass, so it might also collapse if their taken out.

Then I sincerly hope she's a very quiet ham - else she's in for a very boring 10 days or so.

Re: *Help* could my hamster be pregnant?
Well, is there any wheel bigger than 8" that is smaller size wise than the karlie? If I could get a wheel to fit through the gap that would sort it. If I put her any of my other spare cages their not only too low for the wheel, but she'd chew her way out. The only things she can't chew out of is a glass tank, a vivarium, and the bookcase cages as their totally smooth surfaced.

Re: *Help* could my hamster be pregnant?
There are plenty you can give her apart from a wheel..very few of my hamsters have used them.
What I find fun and entertaining is get a toilet roll, cut slats in both ends, take one end and fold the slats into themselves to seal the end. Put some food and bedding inside, seal the other end and puncture the tube with a pencil. She will have great fun trying to get into it x

Re: *Help* could my hamster be pregnant?
Thanks Nikki .
Ooh those are brilliant, thanks I have a bag full of card tubes, I'm going to try those out. Other option is to close her in one section of the cage I've just made, but I'm a bit unsure of moving her again, she's already been moved three times since it happened, surely she'd get agitated and unsettled?

Personally I'd leave her where she is now. Just give her what you can with the space she has. All you can do is your best

Re: *Help* could my hamster be pregnant?
Well I'm still none the wiser. I'm feeding her a good mix of stuff and extras, so she should be getting what she needs. Would I be able to feel anything by now? When would she start showing?

Re: *Help* could my hamster be pregnant?
Summer looks slightly different today, sort of pear shaped, her back end looks bigger/rounder than her front, and she seems to go 'out' at the sides a bit in certain angles. She's on day 9. Any ideas?
