Default The Peeplets

The sister litter to Womblehands Ploplets, the Peeplets are the litter Plop's sister has had. Currently known as Petree her name may change, so the litter have been named after the likely Dad of both litters - Peep Bumbleham.

Brief recap of the story

Womblehands Mum gets given three hams. Womblehands helps. Turns out to be a male, a female and the third is unsexed at first. Plop is taken to Womblehands. We plan to get Peep. Plop gives birth, we realise the third ham is female and is pregnant. We volunteer to foster her so Womblehands doesn't have the extra stress. We rush down and collect Petree and Peep that night after work. We knew there was a risk moving a pregnant ham but we did and do believe it was in her best interests.
We get Petree and Plop (living separately) on the 11th of November... On the 12th we wake to hear pup squeaks.

18 days on...
We have four healthy pups. They opened their eyes a few days ago, seem to be doing well and are strong, active and happy little things. They will need homes (Mum already has one) but for now we're just glad they're all doing so well.
We don't know sexes yet, but we have an agouti pup, two mottled agouti pups (like both parents) and a red eyed argente who was a bit of a surprise. We know them as "agouti", "argente", "spotty-bum" and "the more mottled one"

A disclaimer before I post photos - All photos were taken without flash and after the pups eyes had opened, prior to that we watched from a distance and backed off further if Mum seemed to notice us. Mum doesn't even notice the camera.

This was the first pup photo we got, it was taken a few days ago and is the Argente by their house

The other taken around the same time - Spotty-bum on the house

And more recent pics taken yesterday

Agouti

Argente and Spotty-bum

And the more mottled one, they're not great photos but I wanted to show all four pups

They're hybrid dwarf hamsters. We also sexed them yesterday and while we aren't guaranteeing anything yet... We're pretty sure we have three girls and a boy, with the argente being the boy.

They're incredibly tame, we put our hands in the cage for the first time the night before last, they nibbled a bit but were confident. Last night I decided to let spotty-bum walk over my hands in the cage. Turns out that she's happy, confident and fast became an expert at climbing up my hand, along my arm and out to freedom while I tried to let the others see my hand lol
All four are tame and friendly already. Spotty-bum is the one I spent most time with (due to her running up my arm so often) and I can pick her up from above and everything. I really can't believe how good they all are
