maybe the mum was then a silver dove and not dove, maybe (if i am right and this was the one who you where told had a lilac mother if not sorry ignor me) thats why the breeder thought she had a lilac that there was a grey in play, but not the right one... as a silver grey blond should be blond with a pinkish tone to it, and lilac should be grey with a pink tone to it... it could be mistaken, though a good breeder wouldnt so would depend where she came from.
your greyer ones do look like my baby silver doves did, that kind of silver cloud look, very white when young getting darker but missing that brown purple deepness that true doves get.
if mum was lilac who carried black then maybe just carrying dark grey fades the colour as having silver grey does but i wouldnt have thought so.
would mean too that the yellowish ones are honeys, but maybe silver pales them down a bit too? dont know enough on the more orange side of colours sorry, but some of the faded looking ones also look like the blonds i have had from hamsters with silver grey and cinnie in the mix
