I've read in some books not to use any "nesting materials" at all, Matty - because of the risk to the babies of choking/limb entanglements etc. However most books do suggest giving the pregnant female lots of tissue bedding (ie loo roll!) so she can construct a large nest where she feels safe with her babies. I'd go witht he second option - I used the Wilkinson's bedding (like cut up j-cloths) last time with no mishaps - loo roll would do a simillar job.

i'd have thought it would be fine. I also use wilko j-cloth bedding as well as a huge bag of paper stuff, that that they sell at the shows. we've had it over a year and there's loads left!! one piece can be split into several, it's like layered!

I have at least 16 pups currently fnding it very comfy Matty. And Mum feels very secure in being able to build up her nest. We've never had a problem.
