sterluv: you should come to london I know sometimes people do bring hamsters over from other countrys but I dont think I could do it! X.X
thank you for the compliments

souffle:Thank you! It has been a long time in the planing, my 2nd attempt at breeding and 1st time successful mating. I really cant wait for them to arrive! If they take after their mum I would be over the moon with some more custard natured hams! lucy has a great tempriment, she is extremaly hyper and lightly smelly every day right now! i hope thats normal!

auntieannie: distance dosnt matter to me for hamsters! im soon going to cardiff for the show, and traveled over 5 hours for lucy XD im utterly butterly crazy tho! I guess if they are too far then they wont be a temptation!

nat: go onn!! goo onn!!

lisa: Thank you!! and thank you for your help and advice!

Lucys been enjoying her extra foods, she has been getting turkey, chicken baised baby food, high protien and calcium cat biscuits, porridge and egg! (and a little for everyone else too! but she's getting the lions share) I know its too early to see signs yet, but as her satiny fur is fine, I swear I can feel her belly a little fuller!
she has been enjoying running on her wheel and climbing the bars of the breeding barney cage (no shelves and fine bars) and made a nice snuggly nest. at the end of the week I will remove her wheel, do a clean of anything dirty (keeping as much clean bedding with her scent on as possible, to keep her happy) and give her some extra nesting material, and start tip toeing around the room I am hoping she will know what she is doing and take it from there for me! I know not to interfere with her and the pups, but I just want things to go well.

Bon soir 'daddy' has been hyper too, hence why the pictures are not great quality, im hoping he did well with her. as normal been glued to his wheel XD

One week to go! fingers, eyes, toes and everything possbile are crossed!

Awwwww I've just seen this as I haven't been on much lately.

I'm keeping everything crossed for you! I think you will get some beautiful babies, and I think you will have a medium to large litter (my guess is 10!).

Yay!!! make sure you keep us all updated

mona's humans: awww happy anaversary in advance! I do hope they are born then

Nat: are there any shows in the next few months you would be going to? I should be able to get the day off if there is one

Kissa: ahh well a pre emptive congrats!!

leedsgurl: yay you found it Ive missed out on a lot recently too, still catching up!
thank you!! I hope I do get some pretty babies! I think I will have a large litter ... she is allready showing!! 10 big babys will be nice dont worry! I will keep updating!

Gillzy: XD no its definatly baby bumps! lucys been quite solid built for a while now so she wont be going pop bellied with food hehe! this week is going to take forever!! thank you!!!

another little update:

Tonight I thought I should give her a little check as I didnt see her this morning, in the time I filled bon soirs bowl she had knocked her babyfood over and dug down into her food bowl and dissapeared.
I opened her cage and russled the shavings, a very defensive lucy roared up from her nest showing me she has teeth, lucy hasnt a vicious bone to her body, so this is instinct telling her she needs to start defending her teritory. I gave my hands a quick drop of hand gel and offered her to come out.

I know you are not normally seeing bumps untill 3-4 days before due, she is showing some nice roundness to her tummy, its definatly baby bumps! I think her satin fine coat means you can see whats underneath more. she had a nice little stroll on my hands and went back to her cage, back to monkey baring and running on her wheel.

I will remove her wheel tomorrow and start giving her more nest material and toilet tubes to keep her occupied.

some photos
excuse the blurryness!

If only the cost of a plane ticket was so much to travel over the pond. I would love a long hair satin baby.
