both good choices! i'd take either of those really. i think it's going to be whatever suitable female comes along first. if i see something suitable at a show or someone mentions they've got such a girl i'll go with that!

I dont blame you! But I would keep putting the feelers out to be honest unless you see a really good one on the sales table in the meantime (and though other people have said that breeders dont put their best hams on the sales table, thats where Oscar and Toby, and my Butterbean were found isn't it?)

Good luck - guess I will be really interested in what's on the table at Alcester then, but for once, not for me

Goodnight Amy x

How excting, Bunsey - Oscar is a stunner - exactly the sort of LH Sable I'm hoping to get from his brother's litter, in fact

If you find a nice BEC to mate to Oscar you'll get the same baby combos as us with our BEC/Mink - the umbrous gene will make Sable and you should get Creams also as Tobes and Oscar are Uu instead of UU.

But you know all this, thanks to Teresa - I'm just musing really - will I see Oscar again tomorrow?

yeah, Ocsar will be there tomorrow! Jean is bringing me a BEC with REC herritage... BUT she is 8 months (she's had a litter) so we'd be breeding right away and we haven't even told dad!! he'll go mad. I thought about waiting a few months because we've got a lot of old dodderers of 2yrs+ and then in a few months we might have more space and dad wouldn't go as mental. although he seems to have given up on us and almost expect us to turn up with hamsters!

mmm they always seem to give up in the end!
Glad you have got a good little girl, hope you get lots of gorgeous babies - and if it goes okay, we will have another person to join our mating diary!

No, Jean didn't bring her in the end. She said she wasn't looking too great
so the search is still on!
