how long to let him settle down before mating

as you know im getting my male chinese at highworth he is four months old so how long should i let him get acustomed to his new home before i mate him to athena.

i was personly thinking of giving him a week in office to settle down and get used to his new home then move him in to my room with the girls that week end then move him into my room then mate him to athena a week later. depending on her cycle

i don't really know about breeding chinese, but with a male i'd say that he wouldn't need too long to settle in. a week should be ok. with a female i would say wait much longer

Yeah, I would say about a week - that also gives you time to quarantine as well.
As Bunsey said, I would wait a lot longer with a new female.
