Goodness, if they can't even tell Cinnamon versus Mink, you may want to entirely rethink getting any of their hamsters and I'd definitely not call any of them "good breeders". At the very least, they've not taken a responsible approach to breeding. If they can't even bother to correctly identify their hamsters, do you think they're concerned about health and temperament?

One good question to ask is where they obtained their hamsters from. I would guess it's most likely a pet store or craigslist ad in which case, you're still dealing with unknown hamsters. If you get "a breeder in Florida" or something along those lines, press further. If there's a reputable breeder in the mix, they won't be hiding behind some story.

These are the parents! I also got back from a different breeder out of state said all 3 babies are golden umbrous banded

also to answer someone's question she only has these two hamsters (she got from a breeder, they said they would send her their pedigree's but never did)

In that case, I definitely wouldn't breed them as without a pedigree, you have no idea if they could be carrying the white bellied gene!

Just thought I'd let you know, that wheel is unsafe and should be removed ASAP. Solic wheels are the only kind hams should have.

He doesn't look mink. Mink is a cream based colour. And you can see the grey undercoat through his fur. Looks like he's quite thin furred. His eyes don't seem very red for cinnamon so my guess would be golden.

He doesn't look like the sort of hamster I'd breed from. His colouring is poor and he's not a good size from the looks of him. Neither is the female.

I like my females to be very large. like vanilla-yazoo's Nancy or my Kin Quinn. It's a personal preference.

Really, I'd just run the other way and not touch the pups. Given all that's been realized with this "breeder". There isn't even a water bottle but a bowl of water! There isn't bedding but just newspaper laid on the floor of the cage. Everything just points to someone that doesn't know about hamsters and is just doing their own thing without bothering to learn. Just one more small bunch of people calling themselves "breeders". Again, there are far more of these kinds of people (I hate to even call them breeders) around than reputable ones.

The basic husbandry on the hamsters is wrong, complete lack of genetics, unknown hamsters, hamsters with poor type, the list goes one. Not to mention these are their only two hamsters so they had no set goal in mind when selecting breeding animals. Chuck this up to a learning experience, be grateful you didn't start off with poor hamsters and become educated yourself and teach these other people the right way to breed!
