Lol! You're welcome to a baby, or two... Or three! I'm only keeping two (or so I say now!). I want a baby boy to live with dad, and a baby girl (or two!) to live with mom. She has to have at least one girl and one boy in her litter, I hope! I'm hoping it's only five babies, but it could be more

Haha aww as much as I would love that, I've got quite a handful with my two boys, plus I'm planning my wedding and working full time! I wish I could, though

Lol! I really hope I don't fall in love with all of them. Seven hamsters would be so many! And I really can't afford vet bills for that many hammies. I was debating just keeping a girl baby and possibly rehoming the dad with one of his sons. I dont want the dad to be alone, and i dont think it would be fait to keep him and Nala alone the rest of their lives if i could only keep two hamsters. I don't think I can afford vet bills for four hammies, with having two chinchillas and my dogs.
Would anyone be able to tell me if these babies will have a higher chance of something being wrong with them because mom and dad were pet store hamsters? I would never have bred them on purpose, I wish I had known they were male and female. I feel bad bringing more hamsters into the world when so many need homes If I can't find homes for all of them, then they will stay with me.I won't let them go to bad homes.

Less temptation for you!  But for those of us who can drive to Maryland in a day (and have plenty of extended family to stay with in the area as well....) the temptation is hard to resist!
I did inform my OH yesterday that I needed another hamster for Christmas this year...but a surprise litter right here on the east coast is so very tempting! I can't wait for pics of your new little hams

They are six days old today! I wish Nala had made her nest closer to the top of the bedding so I could see without disturbing! I'm dying to know what they look like. Since mom and dad are both pet store hamsters I'm wondering if they will favor the parents or look totally different? Hehe if anyone wants a couple of babies once I post pics, just let me know! So far I have asked family and friends, nobody wants a hamster .
