Yes, her sister had 9 too, but only 6 made it to weaned, so I'm very impressed that all 9 has made it so far. And now they are able to eat on their own, so I think they all are going to make it now.
And she is a really good mother, very protective and she is laying at them almost all the time to feed them.

That`s good to know Munch and very responsible of you. Your very aware of what you are doing and the babies and parents reflect that. Best of luck with your chinese. They are my absolute favourite species of `hamster` now! I say hamster but I still don`t see them as hamsters because to me they are more like mice and a mini possum! Wonderful little creatures. x

They are SO adorable!!:

And thank you racinghamster! I try my best to be responsible about the breeding and raising pups.

They are adorable. I wish chinese hamsters would co-habit in pairs or small groups into adulthood because I would love to keep more! The little tinkers fall out though so are best kept singly.

Yes, I'm also surprised about how fast they grow!

And I'm not going to keep any of my pups.
Because of the limited genetic material, I'm going to need as 'fresh' genes as possible, but my breeding partner is going to have girl no. 1 and boy no 3 is going to a home, where I can follow his growth and development and maybe use him in the future for a litter.

I'm also going to recieve a female from my breeding partner when I'm delivering my female to her and I have a dutch breeding couple comming to december, so there's kind a full on the "hamster shelf" in my little apartment.

Yeah, I want to keep them all too, but I just can't..

But I think I have found good homes for almost all of them, so it's the second best thing..

And if I can make the wonderfull chinese more known in Denmark, it's almost as good as keeping alle the pups myself!
