You should really know what is in a litter before it colours up, if you have done reseach and know about genetics. your really given a good example of what not to do

Any colour can be a dom spot, just because you have googled and not found one does not mean they are not possible.

A hamster is either a dom spot or it is not.

I suggest that you make this your last litter untill you understand what you are doing.

I have seen plenty cream dominant spots. The only dominant spot I have never seen is a sable dominant spot which seem very difficult to produce. I know a national judge has seen a few abroad but in the UK they are just not seen. You get sable bands frequently but not dominant spots despite many esteemed hamsteries attempting to breed them. Janice do you find this situation in the USA?
The disease is called mastitis and is an infection of the mammary glands in females who are lactating or recently off a litter. It is very painful and usually results in the female culling the litter or them dying as the milk is tainted from the infection. You should not breed a female again if she has ever had this.
What colour are the ears on your mother ham ham? She may be a dark eared or flesh eared white and hiding a pattern under the white coloration. If they are dark eared and have a pattern the ears are usually mottled. A poorly marked dominant spot can show very little colour and if that colour is a very pale cream it may be bearly noticable.
I will be interested to see pics of parents and pups when they have their eyes open to see what they are

The forum rules mean you need to wait another day or so until they are fully opened thank you ham ham. We will wait till it is safe for them to be handled.
