sorry, I must have taken too long posting my message - I got distracted and you must have posted after I started writing mine! (slow writer obviously ). If you need us to take Bronte earlier because she is having toddler tantrums with her sisters Holly, let us know. as you know, her Gabber is all ready and waiting for her

thanks for your concern Souffle. I should make it clear that our family is all well and healthy, but Amy's (my elder daughter) best friend was involved in a motorcycle accident on Saturday and is in quite a serious condition. the hospital have brought him out of his coma this afternoon, so we are hoping that tomorrow may bring some more positive news. But if anyone would like to send healing thoughts for Jim, I'm sure he would appreciate it (well actually he'd probably think it is a lot of c**p but I believe in the power of thought, so I would )[/quote]

Keep your spirits up, Spuds Mum.
Thanks for your kind words, Souffle. I will really not mind if no-one wants Runty. I was always prepared to keep all of them if necessary and Runty is adorable.
They are all having birthday muffins tonight. It was a year yesterday since I bought Basil and as I don't know exactly when his birthday is I bought muffins for the anniversary of him coming to live with us. Trouble was, I had to go out last night so they didn't get them. So they are all having 'day-late birthday muffins' this evening.

Poor Jim, hope everything goes well with him and he makes a speedy recovery. Things are so hard when someone you care for is hurt or ill.

Napoleon has packed on another 3g today Holly, now 84g!

Thanks Souffle......and of course straight back at you, as I know you are worrying about your Dad too...

I think Nappy is definitely going to become a 'roly' Poly at this rate - he is making up for those few days of not growing now isn't he?

Well I split my last two girls up tonight and they are now in their own cages. They hadn't actually been fighting that I am aware of but they are almost 7 weeks old now and I didn't want to risk leaving it until they had a major spat. So all my babies are grown up and independent now.
Looking forward to some Princess baby pictures to fill the gap.

Gosh I've missed a lot in this thread!

Basia - did you get a home for Runty? How are they all now they are split. My girls are six weeks today and the spats have started big time - funnily enough it's Kitty and Smartie who are the main culprits - I'm splitting them up later today.

Spud's Mum, hope your friend is doing ok?
Bronte is fine here until Lymm - she will be on her own in a Rex after tomorrow

Souffle - I'm so glad he's doing well and putting on weight. It's funny how they grow at different rates - I'm now slightly bothered that all the SH's aren't growing well - they are all wild wheelies so I'm going to start limiting it as of today.

I too believe in the power of thought and Jim will be certainly be receiving well wishes from me.
Don't worry about the SH being mad wheelies - a this age they are so full of energy they will settle down, although I have heard of some hamsters becoming obsessed with their wheel and it having to be temporarily/permanently removed... I would imagine they would miss it so much though they would just go doubly mad when it was reintroduced so see how you get on.

I believe in the power of thought too and Jim has mine as you know Spud's Mum.

Runty is still with us. My colleague at work would love to have him but at the moment her husband says no. I think he is destined to be a Wyeside Hamster. He is happily settled in his Wilko cage now.

Don't worry about Cara on my behalf Holly, she couldn't be a worse wheelie than Chunky. Although he took a bit longer to develop, probably because he ran off every bit of food he ate, he is now, at 7 months, a very big, heavy hamster.

Well, I've put her in the Rody just now - and she hasn't been off the Rolly wheel since

I guess she can't be that tiny as she's really too big for the Rolly at 6 weeks - now if she, Cara, Kitty, Smartie and No-Name would all put on a bit of fat, I'd be happy!
