how can i start carrying my hamster?

I had gotten my dwarf hamster from a friend who owned her and Its been about a week and a half of me having her. She started off very aggressive and the first time i let her smell me she climbed onto my hand and began to viciously bite and punch me til i bled. Although that hasn’t happened since she still tries to bite me when i try to lure her onto my hand with a treat. She let me carry her a few times during bath time bonding and didn’t bite me at all. Ive done bath time bonding about 3 times because i wanted to give her time to settle down. She doesn’t mind if i pet her while she eats or roams around but do you guys think she just doesn’t like to be handled/carried? or should I give her more time (i can be a bit impatient and i was really excited when she didn’t bite me for carrying her). Thank you for any input or advice! This is my first hamster! Im not sure if shes just nibbling or trying to attack me again so i am nervous at times when handling her.

Hello, have you held her in the meantime? We got our new hamster in January and haven't dared to hold him yet. He lets us watch him feeding now, but we aren't as far as being able to pet him yet. I wonder how long it takes and when we can start to become more friendly.
