New Roborovski's figting
Hi everyone,
I have done lots of research after losing my syrian Little Bear, and I have decided that I would get two robos rather than another syrian. I know buying from pet stores is not ideal but my thought process is, if I can save them from a life in the tiny pet store cages or being sold to a family with young children that just simply want a pet without investing in the proper housing, then I am happy to do that. I went to pick them up yesterday but after buying them, the woman at the pet store told me that one is 6 months old and one is 2 months old (so clearly not from the same litter). I had my doubts but decided I would see how they interact as they have been in the same cage in the pet store for however long. They were not getting along at all and spent a lot of their time between exploring their new cage, getting mad at each other, hissing, hitting, etc. I know they were likely fighting in the pet store as well but since the pet store closes at 8:00pm before they wake up, they workers did not notice that they didn't get along.
I do not have enough room to separate them, I don't want them to live together if it causes them stress (or potentially one could get hurt), and I don't want to bring them back to the pet store if they will just be put back into a cage together again. What should I do?
