Re: Toilet training
It will be great if he continues to toilet in the different chamber. I have heard some hamsters will chew anything plastic.

On the plus side, while the tupperware was clearly annoying him, it made him start toileting in a different chamber of his hide, which is larger and has no floor. I did a spot clean yesterday but put a bit of the soiled bedding back in, hoping that he continues to toilet here as it's a much better place for it!

I had this issue with my first Syrian. He'd chew the plastic ones but used his Rodipet ceramic toilet and so do all the others.
I have seen small corner ceramic dishes but they were used as food dishes which would work as a small ensuite as well. The supplier was UK based. I'll try and find them.

Re: Toilet training
The one i saw was a reptile water dish and a bit too small.
I'd measure the space available inside the house and then google triangle ceramic dishes. They can be improvised at a lower cost.
