Hamster peeing on the wheel

Hey guys!
I need help, my hamster Tody is in the habit of peeing on the wheel. The wheel is getting very dirty and sometimes there is poop. I always clean it, but the next day it's dirty again.
Is there anything I can do to stop him from peeing on the wheel?
I'm worried about getting sick because he's walking around in the pee.

That's what Robos do because they spend so much time running on their wheels at night. I only use plastic wheels so i can give them a wipe with damp kitchen paper in the morning. That's perfectly normal Robo behaviour and nothing to worry about. Saves on spot cleaning and trying to locate their toilet areas.

Thank you so much for the help, I'm calmer now. It's the first time I have a hamster that pees in the wheel and I was worried.

Most hamsters pee in the wheel although our last two Syrians didn’t. I wouldn’t clean it every day or it might make him do it more! If all the scent is removed it makes them pee on things to scent mark them. It won’t do any harm - they clean themselves well and very thoroughly. Maybe just give it a wipe now and then (not more than once a week probably). Rather than a full wash. Don’t worry about poops.
