Default Stressed during free roam

So I used to have my hamster out in a playpen but now as she is tamer I thought I would let her have a run on the landing.

The problem is that she seems so stressed during free roam on landing.
She runs the parameters and tries to eat the carpet. She won’t take treats unless they are super yummy. Or well if I lift her out she will take treats while on my lap but as soon as her paw hits the floor she just refuses.

In the playpen she would take treats dig in her sandbath and dig box run on her wheel, chew on chews and wander in and out of her hides.

I’ve only had her on the landing thrice for about 15-30 min. Any advice on how I can get her to chill a bit?

Floor toys. I use my hall and put down a blanket (they like to run through the folds) and lots of toys that are too big for their cages. A 30cm flying saucer and a spare wheel are polular, so are the long bendy plastic tubes, cardboard boxes with extra holes cut out and things like that. I think it's important that the hall is cluttered so she doesn't feel exposed. If she doesn't feel comfortable in the hall after a couple of tries i'd put her back in the playpen.

I will try to make it more cluttered . I’ll give it a few more tries. She was a tiny bit better last time at least running on her wheel.
